President's Message

Over the next several months, we will work to create a cohesive Strategic Institutional Plan that affirms a commitment to build on our strengths, honor our rich heritage, transform opportunities into concrete programs, and set a unified vision and direction for the University.

At the end of this comprehensive and inclusive process, we will have a plan of action to take Dominican University of California to the next level of excellence as a learning community focused on academic success rooted in core values.

Central to our strategic planning process is a Strategic Academic Plan (SAP) to be developed by the three schools. As part of the SAP process, representatives from each school will determine guiding principles and future goals, establish strategic initiatives and action plans to implement and achieve these goals, and look to the future by identifying opportunities or new business models.

Effective strategic planning requires strong support at every level of the institution: faculty, students, staff, alumni, administrators, trustees, and community partners. I thank you in advance for giving Dominican your best efforts to ensure that it has a strategic plan that will set a unified vision and direction for the University.

Regards,

Dr. Joseph R. Fink
President
Dominican University of California
