Leadership Certificate

Dominican's Institute for Leadership Studies, in the school of Business and Leadership, offers a Leadership Certificate designed for professionals to enhance their leadership capabilities seeking new strategies to lead in these tough economic times.  In moments of crisis, organizations need individuals who can make a difference.  The Leadership Certificate, comprised of 6 one-day Saturday sessions, provides leadership development training in a variety of areas. Workshop topics are: Leading Strategically, Building & Leading Teams, Leading by Resolving Conflict, Leading by Leveraging Global Diversity, Leading by Persuading in Print and Leading by Persuading in Person. 

In addition, the Leadership Certificate offers coaching to address each participant's individual needs (personal and organizational).  While each one-day session can be taken separately, the Leadership Certificate is earned only by completing them all.   

These are challening times for us all. The Leadership Certificate focuses on how you can turn challenges into opportunities. While Leadership Development can be characterized as an ongoing process, when new and unique difficulties face us, added dimensions emerge. At such times, stratefic leadership takes on a whlie new meaning, and the challenges of being a leader become magnified:

• How can you lead with limited resources?

• How can you stay motivated and be a role model for the organization?

• How do you motivate others to focus on organizational efforts needed to "make it through"?
