Toastmasters

A student club affiliated as one Toastmaster’s International’s official chapters. Members develop public speaking and leadership skills through practice and feedback. Members “practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian. Each speech and meeting is critiqued by members in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.” http://www.toastmasters.org .  Sessions meet every Tuesday from 12:15 pm to 1:15pm in Guzman Hall Room 302 during the fall and spring semesters. Community members are welcome to join this Toastmaster’s chapter. Contact Giulia Welch, giulia.welch@dominican.edu (415-302-8981) Toastmaster’s Faculty Mentor for information.
