School of Education

The School of Education offers programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level.  The Blended Liberal Studies/Teacher Education Program is designed for candidates who want to complete a program of study that leads to both an undergraduate degree and a multiple subject teaching credential in four years. At the graduate level post baccalaureate candidates may earn a multiple subject, single subject, education specialist mild/moderate credential and/or master's of science in education.

Dominican University of California offers graduate credential programs at two locations - San Rafael and Ukiah.  Each location is approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for preparing and recommending candidates.

 Welcome to the School of Education web site.  We have a long history of preparing teachers and teacher leaders in Marin and the surrounding counties.  If you or your children have attended a school in the north bay, you have probably been educated by more than one teacher from Dominican University of California.  The School of Education has always been at the forefront of change in the professional preparation of teachers. I am confident that if you attend Dominican and receive your professional preparation here, you will receive an outstanding education.
