Can I bring my class to the Library?

Instructors are welcome to bring their classes to the Library. Because of the multipurpose nature of the Library, prolonged discussion and/or class lectures should be held where they will not disturb those who require quiet surroundings. The student lounge and the lobby are available for such use. If more than a few computers are needed to accommodate a class meeting, please reserve a computer classroom at least one week in advance.

Who can use the Library's computers?

Public workstations are available to Dominican students, faculty and staff in the Information Commons and the Fletcher Jones Computer Center.  These workstations require a username and password to login.  All workstations will be shut down 15 minutes before the Library closes.

Library Rooms 200, 211, and 220 are classrooms and as such may only be used by Dominican students, faculty and staff with a valid Dominican ID card.

College of Marin students, faculty and staff , Marin County Free Library Patrons, DUofC alumni,  and all other patrons may use our catalog and online databases via the Library kiosks located near the reference area inside the library. They may not access computer workstations that require a login. They may  not print documents, but they may copy materials with our Xerox copiers, using coins, or they may opt to use our network scanner to scan and email library materials to themselves. They may not access our online databases off-campus due to licensing reasons.

All users must adhere to our acceptable use policies.
