Pathways Admissions

PAHOME09

Fulfill your goal of earning a college degree.

Dominican's Pathways Program offers students the opportunity to begin or complete an undergraduate degree while continuing to meet career and family responsibilities.  Our programs and support services embrace the rich life experiences of adults and provide ways of converting that experience into University credits. Pathways offers two format options, so you choose the one that best fits your lifestyle.

Bachelor's Degree Format Options

Pathways Fast:
Pathways Fast is designed for students who have already completed 50 or more transferable units and are committed to completing their degrees in two years.  A maximum group of 25 students form a learning community (called a cohort) and begin and complete the program together. Pathways Fast follows a year-round schedule with all classes held outside regular business hours.  Accelerated courses will meet on campus one night a week for seven weeks.  These seven week sessions may be supplemented with occasional Saturday morning classes and online learning. Students who need more than 45 units to graduate will have options such as life experience credits and CLEP exams that can drastically reduce the cost of degree completion.

Pathways Flex:
Pathways Flex is designed for students with fewer than 50 transferable units or those who want the flexibility to begin and/or complete their undergraduate degrees at their own pace, while balancing their professional and personal lives. Pathways Flex courses are offered on weekday evenings, with occasional Saturday courses.  Students can attend full or part-time within the Flex program.  Depending on the courses needed, it may be possible to take a full-time course load while attending classes two nights a week.  Pathways Flex students who are available during the day may also choose from a broad range of traditional and interdisciplinary day majors, completing general education courses at night.

Majors:
The following majors may be completed through the Fast program: Applied Humanities, Business Administration, and Psychology.  The Flex program offers English, English with a Writing Emphasis, Humanities and Cultural Studies, Management, and Psychology.
