Oh how the month of the dead can inspire me!

Brooke, 10/29/2008, seeing Lines perform and Halloween.... What else could a girl want?!

We recently were given the chance to see the Alonzo King's Lines
Ballet dress rehearsal and it was AMAZING!!! It was wonderful to see not
only some of the fellow BFA-ers performing with the company but to see
the company themselves.  They were brilliant beyond belief.  They were
showing a brand new work and performing with Pharaoh Sanders.  They
used his music to change and elaborate Alonzo's work. If Pharaoh held a note they would hold the movement as well.  I'm so excited to be here working under him and his vision.  He changes our minds to a more healthy motivational state giving us the opportunity to
grow.  It inspired me SO much! GAA!! it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This past weekend I also got to go experience a Halloween party at my
suite mates house.  It was for her little sister and it was nice to be
in a home with furniture and parents and parent type rules.  I never
thought I would miss something like that... but I did. weird.  I guess
I miss having someone take care of me.  The one night definably did
the job thought, i love my college life too much to go back to that.

I'm getting really excited for the DU Halloween Carnival as well.  Halloween
is my favorite holiday and it will be fun to see what DU came up for
to celebrate the Day of the DEAD... hopefully something super spooky!
I wonder if Chilly will come as something... maybe an icicle...? haha.
That would be funny.
