I was at Disneyland!
David - Monday, January 5, 2009 - Hi Everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying this winter season! I have the pleasure of spending my 6 week vacation in San Diego. The weather is warm but at times very cold. Well, not as cold as San Rafael so that's a plus!
During this winter break, I've been working out and reading books. I am so far behind with the Harry Potter books so I decided to finish the series before I head back to school. So far, I'm on the last book and eager to read what actually happens at the end. My family and I just came back from Disneyland. It was a very pleasant trip since my parents haven't been there since my 8th grade year. It was nice seeing my nephew enjoying all the festivity Disneyland does during the holiday season. There was lights everywhere, characters were out signing autographs, and most importantly, snow! But, it was so cold during our stay that we all had to wear at least two sweaters a night! It was icy cold during the nights! We stayed at the Paradise Hotel and had an amazing view of California Adventure. It was amazing! I am really glad my parents decided to do the three day vacation in replace of Christmas presents.
My New Year's was very low key. I stayed home with some friends and enjoyed a night of watching Television and of course, watching the ball go down. It was very laid back and I would not have changed it for anything!
We head back to school in two weeks. I honestly can not wait to go back! It's been nice being at home but I miss all my friends and especially classes. Six weeks a very long vacation and sometimes it just feels like it will never end. When I return to campus, there is so much I have to do before the end of the semester. First off, we have Penguin Ball to prepare for and meetings, setting up administrative forums, work, meeting with students, etc. AH! Sounds like a lot but I love being occupied during the week. It makes my time fly by quick! Right now, I am working with the Director of Programming in planning all the activities for next semester. Right now, we don't have anything set in stone but I am sure it will be a fun semester.
Well, that's all I have for now. Until my next blog, have a wonderful day!
