November...Almost Complete!

Hello Everyone!

I can't believe how fast this semester is going! Honestly, it feels like yesterday when I arrived at Dominican to begin my last fall semester.  Lately, I've been wondering "where has the time gone?" The weekend rolls around and already, it's Wednesday!  Ah! At times, I want to week to go by slow but other times, I want it to quickly end...As of now, I am starting to feel about nervous-since I will be graduating next semester.  I will be more excited once I know what my life will be like post Dominican.

Right now, I've been doing applications for various graduate schools in California. I've submitted applications to Dominican's Masters Program in Biological Sciences, SDSU, CSUSM, and some other cal state schools.  In addition, I've submitted an application to Teach for America. I am very excited and nervous about this application. Tomorrow, I will find out if I am eligible for a phone interview.  I am hoping this works out because I really want to teach young students about biology and it's always been a dream for me to teach in high school. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, to wrap up...It's beginning to rain in the bay area! I love the rain but then hate it at times...I don't want another rain storm like freshmen year.  It's been raining on and off but I enjoy listening to the rain when it's the weekend and there is nothing to complete in the day.

Lastly, ASDU is doing a great job! I have my last presidential address next week and I am hoping more students will show up at this event. We had a holiday tree lighting ceremony on Sunday and 30 students were in attendance.  This Friday we have basketball games and a dance afterwards. In addition, we have a campus visit day on Saturday followed by a fall carnival and then going out to dinner with fellow ambassadors. It's going to be a fun filled weekend but then I need to settle down on Sunday to finish up some homework.
