Hey

Marvin-Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - Here's my first blog, just a quick summary of what has been happening the past couple of weeks...

The past 2 months at DUC have been great, its been a huge adjustment living with total strangers but i really got lucky and have two great roommates. I used to always hear that phrase that I would live as a "starving college student" and now i finally realize how that's going. Basically I get hungry a lot throughout the week and especially through the weekend, and the fact that I'm only a couple minutes away from SF, makes it convenient and inconvenient because i can go shopping...but i can go shopping. The nursing program has been really good, but at the same time, super stressful, physiology is one of those classes that i actually need to study on a daily basis, i realized how i actually have to study in advance for tests in college, and not just the day before, like in high school. I passed my second test, and all that hard work finally paid off, and i got to celebrate it by eating out at a nice Japanese Restaurant on 4th st. There have been so many events at DUC and especially out side of it, I've had events basically everyweekend. Thursday through -Sat are my days off, well the end of thursday, and as long as i study and work hard, then i decide I can celebrate hard too. I found out cleaning really helps me with stress, and I cleaned up my whole room and our suite's restroom. I also cleaned because I was bored and because I just like cleaning in general. I was going through my schedule for the next 4 weeks, and i am so busy with events and cottilions and my favorite holiday, thanksgiving. I'm really excited for life. I'm also excited for our next Campus visit which is Nov.15, so hope to see you there!
