Master of Business Administration (MBA)Program OverviewDominican University of California leads in the graduate study of Business by offering an innovative Master's of Business Administration (MBA) program that addresses head-on real-world issues that resonate for today's, as well as tomorrow’s, business leaders and entrepreneurs. Students in the MBA program select one of three concentrations—Global Management (GM), Strategic Leadership (SL) and Sustainable Enterprise (SE) Green MBA ®—that have direct application to the current, and future, business world and that allow them to hone the skills they need to excel.
Global Management students focus on global issues or those particular to a continent or region, such as Europe, Asia or Latin America. They gain an edge in learning about the economic, social, cultural, political, and legal implications of conducting business in today’s global economy.
Geared for experienced managers, the Strategic Leadership program concentrates on leadership cultivation and development. Students grapple with salient and timely issues in the workplace, including team-building, diversity, corporate communications, ethics and social responsibility, and problem-solving.
Designed for leaders focused on developing financially viable, ecologically sustainable, and socially just initiatives within their organizations, the Green MBA ® takes a collaborative, project-based approach in teaching students how to integrate their commitment to environmental preservation and restoration with sound business practices.
Program FormatAll MBA students must successfully complete 48 units prior to receiving their master’s degree. Global Management students may attend full-time or part-time. Those in the part-time program attend classes in the evening. Strategic Leadership students meet as a cohort every other Saturday in the fall semester. Flexible scheduling allows them to earn an MBA without an interruption in their careers. The (Sustainable Enterprise) Green MBA ® major offers three program structures to accommodate students’ professional and personal demands: a 20-, 24- or 36-month option. MBA students are encouraged to avail themselves of Dominican-sponsored study-abroad opportunities. However, no more than 3 study-abroad units can count toward their MBA degree.
