Dominican Volleyball adds San Rafael native Tuatagaloa
San Rafael, Calif. — Former San Rafael High School volleyball star Tianna Tuatagaloa has come home to play again, practically in her backyard this time.
Tuatagaloa has transferred from Gonzaga University, a NCAA Division
I school, to be a graduate student and play for Dominican University of

After a nationwide search, Dominican University of California President
Joseph R. Fink has appointed Terrance J. Tumey, who for the past five
years has served as director of football administration with the San
Francisco 49ers, as the University’s Director of Athletics. “In Terry Tumey we have found a
consummate professional who will lead our athletics department to the next
level of competition,” Dr. Fink said. “Terry is an experienced and accomplished
athletics administrator who not only embraces the values of our institution,
but who also will measure the success of our student-athletes by their

Dominican's Field of Dreams
The University is proposing the funding, construction, and ongoing maintenance of a new synthetic turf athletic field that will position Dominican to meet the requirements for admission to the Pac West Conference of NCAA II in Fall 2009. The complex will consist of a softball infield, a synthetic turf softball outfield and soccer and lacrosse field along with the addition of a 90-space parking facility.
