New Student Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance to Dominican University Of California! We look forward to welcoming you to our community!

student leaders at orientation welcoming new students

All incoming students are expected to participate in the New Student Orientation program. This includes: First-year, Transfer and International, Adult Degree Completion and Graduate Students. Orientation is designed to help you get to know your fellow students, become more familiar with the campus, learn about Dominican history and traditions, and most importantly...have a great start to your college experience. The components of Orientation will help you learn how to take care of the "business" of being a student, and you also have an opportunity to have fun and meet your fellow penguins.

Orientation consists of two components:

  1. Online Portal
The portal is designed to provide an introduction to Dominican and to help you understand the “business of being a student." Complete the steps in your portal any time before school starts. The portal is smartphone and tablet friendly.
  2. In-Person Orientation
Our In-Person Orientation will take place Thursday, August 22-Sunday, August 25. The scheduled program is designed to help students build connections and learn more about their college experience.
