Our Services
The Career Development Office welcomes faculty referrals for students who are undecided as to their majors or are considering switching. We utilize the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory (Holland Code), and Focus2Career online assessments to assist students in the goal-setting and decision-making process.
Internships
An internship integrates a student’s academic and career interests with hands-on work experience. The for-academic-credit program allows Dominican students to apply classroom theory related to their majors to real-world settings. Students work closely with faculty advisors to research and secure internship opportunities and have the option to earn 1-3 units of credit for their internship experiences. Worksites include business, non-profit, education, medical, and public organizations. The Career Development Office provides procedural guidance and the necessary documents to register for the internship course.
